Let’s DJ Bridge

Play the files on your computer at your party

Bridge is a small app that shares a folder of music, video, and karaoke files from your computer with your party. Only song names and cover art go online; the files stay on your network.

Preview. The app has not been released yet, so the download buttons are switched off for now.

Bridge runs on a computer, not on a phone or tablet. Open this page on your Mac or PC, or send yourself the link.

We could not tell which computer you are on, so both downloads are listed. Pick the one that matches yours.

Setting it up

  1. 1

    Install and open Bridge

Run the file you downloaded. Bridge lives in your menu bar or system tray, so if you do not see a window, look for its icon.

  2. 2

    Choose your folder

Pick the folder that holds your music, video, and karaoke files.

  3. 3

    Finish in Let’s DJ

Bridge opens Let’s DJ in your browser. Sign in, name your library, and it is ready to add to a party.

If Windows says “Windows protected your PC”

This is a message Windows shows for any app it does not recognise yet. Bridge is not signed with a certificate Microsoft knows, so Windows cannot tell who made it. It does not mean the file is damaged, and you have not done anything wrong. Only run an installer you downloaded from this page.

  1. Click “More info” in the window. It is a small link under the message.
  2. A “Run anyway” button appears. Click it.
  3. If Windows then asks whether to let the app make changes to your device, choose Yes. The installation carries on as normal.

You should only see this when you first run the installer. We plan to sign the app in a later release, and this step will go away.
